Before they bunker down in the studio recording the follow up to their widely celebrated 2015 release, In A Restless House, Melbourne alt-rock four-piece, I Oh You mainstays and triple J favourites City Calm Down will perform a huge outdoor amphitheatre concert at Shimmerlands on Sunday February 5.

2016 was a hallmark year for City Calm Down, making their mark both in Australia and abroad. Their largest national tour to date sold out 1000+ capacity venues across the country, while over in the UK they sold out their headline show in London and slayed stages at both The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City festivals. Back home, they owned festival stages at Sugar Mountain and Splendour in the Grass, before capping off the year with a huge set at the Falls Music and Arts Festival.

City Calm Down’s outdoor amphitheatre concert at Shimmerlands is set to be their last before taking a break from the live circuit, and is destined to be their largest hometown show yet.

“Their anthem like instrumentation completely floods the space they inhabit… this band are as compelling to watch as they are to listen to.” -Musicfeeds
